SAMPLE NOTES ~ This item was made as a sample to test the construction of a pattern taken from a C1940s corset girdle. The corset offers minimal waist reduction as per the original style used more for gentle support and control. Ideal for C1940s period dressing
DETAILS
- Constructed with 10 panels (5 per side) finishing low over the hip and bottom.
- Silver busk closure at the front and 18 sets of eyelets for lacing at the back.
- coutil bias binding on the upper and lower edges..
- Boned panel behind busk with wide 2cm underbusk
- Features internal boning channels from twill tape
- Boning at front finishes at the hip point providing the wearer a little more ease of movement
- No back modesty panel
